This redevelopment of a brownfield site of a former industrial estate and a more recently consented Data Centre proposes 212 much needed homes near Saunderton Rail Station, just outside High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. The application is complicated, but not undermined, by the site’s location within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The proposals have been carefully designed to comply with the Chilterns Design Guide and to be contained within a development ‘bubble’ created by both the original industrial buildings and by the 4 massive Data Centre buildings recently approved. Unsurprisingly, the residential application is resisted and an Appeal on non-determination has been lodged.
