This project in the Bedfordshire village of Elstow for Carey New Homes comprised 14 dwellings in a mix of 3 and 4 bed sale and affordable homes.  The site sits within the grounds of the listed former Elstow Lower School for which we designed a 4-apartment conversion as well as refurbishing the former Headmaster’s house. This project emerged from a long and challenging Planning and Listed Building process with DLAAP eventually securing new approvals that included key design changes to the original proposals. We provided full working drawings and a ‘problem-solving’ presence throughout the construction process, up to and including conveyancing packs.
